Bringing it all to the table, Chef Adam Cooke of Topsoil Restaurant crafts a seasonal menu that lets the ingredients speak for themselves—honest, vibrant, and full of life.
Expect beautiful wines, thoughtful food, and a relaxed, convivial atmosphere—just the way it should be.
Come raise a glass, share a table, and settle in for a night that feels a little like home in the Cape.
More about who will be there
-

Chris Boustred
Chris Boustred is the winemaker at Remhoogte Wine Estate, a historic family estate perched on the slopes of the Simonsberg above Stellenbosch. The property dates back to the early 19th century and has been in the Boustred family since the mid-1990s, when it was revived and replanted with a vision of producing expressive, terroir-driven wines. After studying winemaking at Stellenbosch University and working in renowned regions including Bordeaux, Margaret River, and Napa Valley, Chris returned home to lead the cellar, crafting wines that reflect both the mountain vineyards and the enduring spirit of the estate.

Juliet Boustred
Juliet Boustred born in South Africa is a contemporary artist known for her contemplative ink and watercolor works that explore the sculptural beauty and endurance of trees and wildlife in the African landscape. She studied in the late 1980s at the Johannesburg Art Foundation, where she was encouraged to develop an independent artistic voice.
In 1994 she moved from Johannesburg to a farm in the Stellenbosch wine region of the Western Cape, where the surrounding natural environment became a central inspiration for her work. Boustred’s minimalist compositions—often executed in ink wash and delicate watercolor—focus on the ancient presence and resilience of trees shaped by wind, drought, and time.
Her work emphasizes restraint and clarity: carefully placed lines, subtle tonal washes, and open space allow the structural character of each tree or animal to emerge with quiet intensity. Through this refined approach, Boustred’s art reflects themes of endurance, wilderness, and the spiritual connection between landscape and memory.
